Geomechanics
A complete 1D geomechanical workflow — from geostatic stress and pore pressure to elastic moduli,
rock strength, horizontal stresses and wellbore-stability analysis for drilling and stimulation.
Stress and pressure
- Vertical (geostatic) stress — integration of the density log.
- Hydrostatic pressure — fluid-column reference pressure.
- Pore pressure — Eaton prediction and normal-compaction trends.
- Horizontal stresses — poroelastic model for Shmin / SHmax.
- Wellbore stability — fracture and collapse gradients.
Elastic properties
- Shear-wave reconstruction — Castagna (mudrock / shaly-sand) when DTS is absent.
- Dynamic elastic properties — E, ν, K, G from Vp, Vs and density.
- Static elastic modules — empirical dynamic-to-static transforms.
Rock strength
- UCS — unconfined compressive strength by empirical methods.
- FANG — angle of internal friction.
- Tensile strength (TSTR).
