Import & harmonisation
All corporate well data is ingested into a single project database and harmonised into one consistent
measurement system — curve families, units and sampling — before any calculation runs.
Data ingestion
- Logs — LAS and DLIS import, including multi-run suites.
- Tabular data — XLS/CSV tables, object properties and blocked (flag) curves.
- Core — all core study types, classified by study, with core photographs.
- Inclinometry and stratigraphy — survey data and stratigraphic markers.
- Log-view headers, custom Python scripts and images.
Curve family and unit assignment
- Family assigner — automatic recognition of curve type (GR, RHOB, NPHI, RT, DT …) with manual override.
- Unit assigner — automatic unit-of-measure assignment per curve.
- Per-curve normalisation of working units —
RHOB → g/cm³, NPHI → v/v, DT → µs/m, RT → Ohm·m, GR → gAPI — so thresholds and coefficients remain valid regardless of the stored units.
Harmonisation and run handling
- Run detection — automatic identification of logging runs and intervals.
- Best-log selection — pick the representative curve when several runs overlap.
- Log resolution — estimate and normalise sampling.
- Automatic splicing — merge runs into a single continuous curve.
- Outlier and null handling — remove outliers, cut or replace null values, drop thin interbeds.
- SP normalisation — align spontaneous-potential baselines across wells.
Project statistics
Project statistics and extended well statistics build a reference picture of the whole well stock — the
basis for QC and for consistent rules across the field.
